Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. Diagnosis is usually made in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Kids with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (they may act without thinking about the outcome), or be overly active.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a wide range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. We know that there is not one type of autism but many subtypes, most of which are influenced by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Because autism is a spectrum disorder, each person with autism has a different set of strengths and challenges. The ways in which people with autism learn, think, and solve problems can range from high-functioning individuals to severely impaired individuals. Some people with ASD may require significant support in their daily lives, while others may need less support and in some cases live fully independently.
